Senior Manager - Forschungszulage (m/f/d) - Hamburg (Remote)

About the company & role

Leonid Group has been retained by a leading innovation consultancy to identify a Senior Manager – Forschungszulage. The role is based in Hamburg but can be performed remotely within Germany, with occasional travel for client meetings or internal workshops.

This is a hands-on leadership position within a strong technical delivery team. You’ll be responsible for reviewing claims, guiding consultants, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation under the FZulG framework.

Responsibilities

Review R&D project documentation and narratives to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Mentor and support technical consultants in the preparation of claims.
Liaise with clients to understand project activities, challenges, and innovation scope.
Manage project delivery timelines and uphold high quality standards.
Stay up to date with changes to the Forschungzulagengesetz (FZulG) and related guidelines.
Contribute to best practice development across the team.

About you

You’ll bring a technical background with in-depth knowledge of R&D tax or the Forschungszulage scheme, and be comfortable managing multiple claims while mentoring others.

Experience preparing or reviewing R&D tax claims or Forschungszulage documentation
Excellent writing and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator in both German and English
STEM degree preferred
Self-motivated, organised, and collaborative
