Location: Remote First (Once a quarter Multi Day meet up in EMEA)
Leonid has been retained by a US tech firm to search for a Director, to be responsible and ethical deployment of AI technologies, based in Europe. The mission is to balance innovation with regulation, ensuring our AI solutions are compliant, ethical, and beneficial to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Framework Development: Design and implement comprehensive AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and best practices tailored to our organizational needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with diverse teams (e.g., data science, engineering, legal) to integrate AI governance principles throughout project lifecycles.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate ethical, legal, and reputational risks associated with AI technologies.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay abreast of evolving AI regulations and ensure the organization’s AI initiatives are compliant with local and international laws.
- Training and Development: Educate and train employees on AI governance best practices, emphasizing ethical considerations and risk management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry groups, and ethics committees, to stay informed about best practices and emerging trends.
- Impact Assessment: Support data teams in conducting impact assessments for new AI initiatives, ensuring they align with our governance framework.
- Internal Advocacy: Promote ethical AI usage within the organization, acting as an ambassador for responsible AI practices.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of AI ethics and regulations.
- Strong Data Privacy Background
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- AIGP certification a plus
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks.
- Project management experience and the ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Familiarity with data science and machine learning concepts is a plus.
