About the company & role

 

An established brand in the Aerospace and Defence sector is currently seeking a Contracts Manager in a newly created position as part of their significant expansion across the US. The role is intended to take on an extremely broad remit supporting all US business units for the company with their commercial and predominantly governmental contracts.

 

With support from the General Counsel and others in the Legal & Compliance function, the role will work closely with all departments across the group taking lead on the entire contract lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities will likely include:

  • Identifying and managing/resolving contractual issues, disputes and dealing with complex enquiries.
  • Review and negotiate US Government contracts notably covered by FAR and DFARs regulations.
  • Maintain certifications in SAM Database and respond to certification requests.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on contractual matters.
  • Supporting on Subcontracts and procurement negotiations.

The role is primarily based in Arlington, VA with potential for a small amount of domestic travel. Hybrid and/or home working options are available but some commuting to Arlington will be necessary. A provisional budget of $140,000 - $160,000 + bonus has been set (DOE).

 

About you

 

It is likely you will have significant previous experience working with US Government contracts and good working knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations and a variety of contract types.

 

The role will suit someone who wants to take on a leading role (with support from the wider legal team) and is happy driving and developing policies and procedures without existing framework.

For this position, you must be either a US citizen or have Permanent Resident Status in the US.
