Business Development Manager – R&D Tax (London)
Salary: Up to £60,000 basic + uncapped commission (5–10% of fees, including multi-year client commissions)
Location: Hybrid – London

We’re working with a highly regarded R&D tax specialist that’s built its reputation on technical credibility, exceptional delivery, and a genuine commitment to its people. The firm has a strong presence in the market, a trusted client base, and a successful track record of supporting ambitious consultants to grow their network and income year after year.
Now, they’re looking to grow the team with a Business Development Manager who can bring energy, tenacity, and an entrepreneurial mindset to the team.
The role
You’ll take the lead in identifying and winning new R&D Tax business through your own network, referrals, and strategic outreach. You’ll also be supported by marketing initiatives, technical experts, and a leadership team that genuinely invests in its people. You’ll have the platform, credibility, and backing to host networking events, build lasting partnerships, and make a name for yourself in a respected, growing team.
What you’ll bring

A proven track record in R&D Tax or a related incentives field (e.g. Capital Allowances, Patent Box)

A history of delivering c.£350,000 in new business through a blend of outreach, partnerships, and relationships

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
