Leonid has partnered with a prestigious global manufacturing company with a broad international presence, including offices across EMEA, North America, and Asia. With their EMEA headquarters in Munich, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Audit Director to lead their Internal Audit team through an exciting phase of growth and innovation.

The Role

As the EMEA Audit Director, you will lead a talented and autonomous team, responsible for planning and executing internal audits across the functional areas at headquarters and throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. You will play a key advisory role, guiding organizational units in enhancing and aligning internal processes. Your expertise will also be valuable in cross-departmental and cross-functional projects, helping shape the company’s broader strategy.

  • Lead and manage a highly capable international audit team, fostering an environment of trust, independence, and excellence.
  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to advise and support the development and alignment of internal processes.
  • Play a key role in cross-functional projects, contributing valuable insights from an audit perspective.
  • Report to the Group Audit management team, being a key voice in the strategic direction of the internal audit function.

The Candidate

We’re looking for an experienced leader who has a passion for strategic thinking and a proven track record of success in auditing, finance, or compliance. You will bring a combination of strong leadership skills, a focus on results, and the ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience: 8+ years in auditing, finance, or compliance, with strong knowledge of both German and English.
  • Education: A university degree in business administration, law, industrial engineering, business information technology, or engineering.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on self-motivation, responsibility, and achieving results.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management.
  • International Focus: Willingness to travel internationally to support business needs and drive global initiatives.
  • Passion: Enthusiasm for conceptual and strategic work, and an openness to exploring new approaches in a growing and innovative environment.
