About the company & role
A leading financial services and trading organisation is seeking a proactive financial regulations lawyer to join its London-based legal team. This role supports two FCA-regulated entities, advising on financial regulation and compliance matters, contributing to the development of policies and procedures for both existing and future business lines, and helping implement group-wide frameworks at the business level.
You’ll work closely with senior management and internal stakeholders, providing legal guidance on a range of regulatory issues, and leading the negotiation and execution of related legal documentation.
What’s on offer?
This is a great opportunity for a financial regulation lawyer to take on a broad and hands-on role within a fast-paced and commercially engaged environment. The successful candidate will contribute to policy development, regulatory implementation, and ongoing legal support for operational activity. You’ll also gain exposure to strategic projects across the group, with real opportunity for career growth and development.
About you
You will be a qualified lawyer in England & Wales with 3–5 years’ PQE (guidance only), gained at a top law firm and/or in-house within the financial services sector. You’ll have a solid understanding of the UK regulatory framework, particularly as it applies to FCA-regulated brokers and derivatives dealers. Familiarity with exchange-specific regulation is a plus but not essential.
You’ll bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills, a commercial mindset, and a collaborative approach, along with an interest in how legal, regulatory, and business processes can be improved through technology and innovation.
